Experience the distinctive terroir of the Golden Mile Bench through an exploration of wines from C.C. Jentsch Cellars, Road 13 Vineyards and Culmina Family Estate Winery in a unique culinary journey that will pair spectacular views, great neighbours, and top-notch farm-to-table cuisine from Backyard Farm’s, Chef Chris Van Hooydonk in an incredible multi-course, multi-winery event.
The Golden Mile Bench, British Columbia’s first sub-appellation, exhibits unique growing conditions from soil, latitude, elevation and climate unlike anywhere else in the world. Journey with us to discover the sense of place that these wines demonstrate.
Guests will first be welcomed by Owner Chris Jentsch at C.C. Jentsch Cellars for a complete vineyard tour, allowing you to discover why the Golden Mile Bench is so unique. Canapés will then be served in the barrel cellar with C.C. Jentsch’s newly released Blanc de Noir, after which guests will be transported by Top Cat Tours for the second leg of their journey.
At Road 13 Vineyards, guests will be welcomed by Pam and Mik Luckhurst, where they will be invited to explore the Sparkling Cave and Barrel Cellar before enjoying the first dinner offerings in the facility’s stunning Executive Lounge. There, guests will be treated to two dishes paired with Chef Chris’ cuisine and a selection of Road 13’s award winning wines including their infamous Sparkling Chenin Blanc.
The finale of the evening will be held at Culmina Family Estate Winery, where guests will be first met by Don and Elaine Triggs for a guided tour of the estate’s vineyard and state-of-the-art winemaking facility. Following the tour, guests will be invited to the Fermentation Hall to enjoy the evening’s last two courses, as well as Culmina’s flagship wine Hypothesis.
Tickets are $195 per person and include transportation and gratuity. Space is limited to 28 guests. Complimentary shuttle will pick up at the following locations: Penticton, Oliver and Osoyoos. Shuttles will depart at 4:00 and 4:45pm from Penticton, and Oliver/Osoyoos respectively, and return by 11 pm.
