Recap of ‘A Taste of Les Mis’

June 15th, 2015

We’d like to thank all those who were able to attend our sold-out ‘A Taste of Les Mis’ dinner on June 13th. You can relive the memorable evening by watching this video.

The dinner began with breathtaking performances from Les Miserables by the Arts Club Theatre’s Chris Sams and Kate Blackburn. The doors of the Barrel Room were open, providing guests with a picturesque backdrop of the South Okanagan. The sun was just setting as the first course from Joy Road Catering was introduced.

The menu, by Chef & Sommelier Dana Ewart, paired perfectly with our wines – and celebrated the launch of the 2013 R&D Red Blend.

Alsace-style onion tart with creme fraiche, bacon & thyme
Dungeness crab & prawn cakes with sorrel aoli
2014 Decora

Locally made goat cheese with shaved asparagus & lemon vinaigrette

Lightly smoked Oliver trout, Joy Road ‘happy chicken’ eggs, pickled pink shallots & house-made sourdough herb flatbread
2014 Saignée
