Celebrating Women in Wine: Introducing Allison MacLeod
In honour of International Women’s Day, we would love for you to get to know our Assistant Winemaker, Allison. Through her passion and dedication, she plays a vital role in crafting our world class, award-winning wines.
Allison hails from the mountain town of Canmore, Alberta. Coming from a family of enthusiastic and adventurous eaters and drinkers, Allison spent the summers of her youth as a restaurant line cook. She ultimately followed this passion to the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, California. Always inspired by the relationship between food and wine, Allison decided to further her education in Viticulture and Enology at Napa Valley College.
Since then, she has participated in harvests in Sonoma, South Australia, Tasmania and North Canterbury, NZ and occupied several full-time positions in the Okanagan Valley. Allison is inspired by the unique sense of place wines from different regions can demonstrate as well as the convivial nature of sharing good food and wine with friends and loved ones.
